About Jessica Jones, LCSW-C

Jessica Jones LCSWHi, I’m Jessica Jones, a licensed clinical social worker providing online therapy to those who need support during some of life’s most difficult moments. I know firsthand about the stress and anxiety that can accompany some of life’s biggest or smallest moments. I know what it feels like to be consumed by anxiety, paralyzed by fear, and lacking confidence to go in the direction of my dreams. I have been on my own journey to experience peace and wholeness, and I understand what goes into making healthier choices. I do not believe this journey is meant to be traveled alone and I would love to help guide you along the way. Feel free to contact me to set up and appointment.

Why I do this work?

I am a firm believer in living life to its fullest potential and doing so with the highest level of peace. I think this can only happen when we take care of our mental health, just as much as we do our physical, emotional, and spiritual health. I believe the most important aspect of therapy is connecting and building relationships. Once trust is established, the results are limitless. My hope is that together we can increase your self-awareness, develop healthier coping skills, and find joy along the way.

Education and Experience

I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology from Towson University with a minor in family studies. I then graduated from University of Maryland, Baltimore earning my master’s degree in social work. I have over 10 years post graduate experience working in private practice, outpatient mental health clinics, hospitals, and school-based settings providing therapy services to clients of all ages.

Specialties and Passions

I am passionate about helping women of ALL ages who may be struggling with anxiety or depression and helping them develop healthier coping skills. In addition, I love working with mothers during all stages of motherhood who may be seeking support regarding their identity, managing the many demands, or just the everyday stress. I believe in making self-care a priority and finding joy even on the most difficult days.

My Approach

I most often utilize cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and person-centered therapy in which we will challenge your negative thought patterns and behaviors. I believe that the way an individual thinks and feels strongly affects the way he or she behaves. Together we will problem solve with the goal of changing your thought patterns to change the way you respond to difficult situations. I strongly believe in meeting you where you are and providing you with a safe and most importantly, nonjudgmental space.
